Bright Skipper by MuseSusan Bright Skipper by MuseSusan
The last of the skippers for now. This one is definitely my favorite of the three, because the background turned out so nice and simple, allowing the skipper to pop. This is another species of folded-wing skipper, I have no idea which.

This shot was taken at Thatcher Park, a reserve near my school that has some beautiful cliffs and overlooks, as well as a lot of fields and meadows. But the best areas for photography are just the little spots by the side of the road where the wildflowers grow and all sorts of fun little insects are attracted.

I've done almost no modification to these images in Photoshop--literally the only change has been the crop and the border (and a slight rotation for one of them). That's practically unheard of for me--if nothing else I'll at least darken the edges. But these photos didn't want anything at all.
